Heather Jackson is a physical therapist that started her journey as a volunteer in the NICU feeding babies when she was a teenager. From there she went to The University of Memphis, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in special education. She went on to The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Since that time she has taken numerous continuing education courses to provide better care to her patients and their caregivers. Among those is a Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) certification in the management and treatment of children with Cerebral Palsy, other neuromotor disorders, and movement disorders.
In her personal time, Heather enjoys her four children and her loving husband. Her own personal experiences have taught her many lessons about a parent's perspective while navigating a multitude of specialists and doctors who all have different opinions about a child’s care. It is her desire to help other parents navigate the medical system smoothly.
